Why Me Lord?

Writer's picture: Adobea (Imani)Adobea (Imani)

Have you ever asked this question of why me, Lord? Sometimes I feel like he replies, why not you? You can ask this question during two seasons Of your life.

The wilderness season is when everything seems to be falling apart, the season of struggle and pain. In this season, you feel like God doesn’t hear you. You feel alone; you feel like you are doing everything right, yet nothing is going right. This particular season is a hard one. People either lose it in this season or endure through it.

There is also the season of abundance. The moment of peace, the moment where everything falls in pleasant places even when you know you don’t deserve it. Usually, one would have gone through the wilderness season. Many of the great men today all have a story; they have stories about their wilderness season. Please pay attention to the wilderness season because it’s a season of preparation for more incredible things. Weariness is inevitable in the wilderness season, but you got to remember to persevere

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your understanding; in all your ways, submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6. I pray for grace for all of us to discern what the Lord is telling us in our wilderness season. Sometimes we refuse to discern the writings on the wall.

Shalom,

Imaani
