My list, My plan, God’s List And His Plans.

I went through several decades of my life to finally realize that I have done so many things my way. In one of my blogs, I blogged about the permissive will of God and the perfect will of God.

In a particular season, I wrote a long list of how things will pan out for me regarding relationships, etc. I wrote out my specifications, and I presented them to the Lord in prayer and said, Lord, this is what I want in my next relationship if it’s in your will. Somebody once told me that I probably fall in the category of the women the Bible talks about that marriage is not their portion. It almost took root in my mind. I have now realized that, that utterance was the enemy's voice. my glory lies in my marriage, and that’s why the devil has fought me so hard in this area of my life, but as I wrote in a recent post, the snare is broken

God indeed has a beautiful sense of humor. He had a different plan, and when he permits, I will blog about his plan. One of the things I have vowed to do now is to live in His perfect will; although his plans did not match my list, I quickly decided to go with his move. He has not failed me yet; I tell my folks that if what you are telling me does not bear witness with my spirit, then I have a problem with it.

I recently started studying how to be led by the Holy Spirit by Kenneth Hagin, a book I will highly recommend. One of the greatest lessons I have learned from reading this book is how the spirit of God bears witness with our spirit as children of God. This book teaches you about hearing the voice of God. We need to listen to the voice of God and move in obedience because with that comes a heavenly reward.
