Love Never Fails

Love never fails is the last of the attributes of love. I wonder how many of us have failed to fulfill this attribute of love. Human beings often fail each other. We have all felt let down at some point in our lives. If you are honest about your dealings, you will admit that you have been guilty of letting others down as well. I have been guilty of letting others drown.

God‘s love, the agape kind of love, never fails; it is never-ending, it never lets anyone down, it is always reliable. So writing about the attributes of love now has given me a deeper understanding of love.

I have been telling myself now that whenever I say to my friends and family that I love them, I am telling them that I will fulfill all the attributes of love. I will not be using the word love casually but with a deeper meaning and understanding now that I know better.

Love is not a feeling; a lot of the trouble we find ourselves in is because most people base their love on emotions or what someone does. Unfortunately, this is not sustainable in the long term.

I challenge anyone reading this that whenever you tell someone you love them, you tell them you will be patient and kind no matter what may come, you will not envy, you will not brag or be proud. You will not misbehave towards them; you will not be selfish, someone will not easily anger you, you will not keep records of wrong. You will not rejoice in evil, but with the truth, you will bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things, and lastly, your love will never fail them.
