Consistency unlocks many great doors for us.
I was listening to a man of God the other day who said something profound about marriage; he said marriage is when two people decide to commit to one another no matter what. He said, sometimes you don’t feel like doing things, but you still do them anyway because of the commitment to the relationship.
Consistency is adhering to the same principles in a steadfast and unwavering way. Consistent people are those who achieve things of value and meaning in their lives by not keep changing their opinions about what they want.
I am particularly enjoying this season of my life because of allowing myself to know who I am and recognizing all my shortcomings. Consistency is one of the things l have had to make a deliberate effort to keep at, still a work in progress and it’s one of my prayer topics always that God will help me stay consistent in everything I do.
The other day, one of my friends who supported my blog said to me, wow,” I didn’t think you could keep the blog post going. Still, when I realized you were writing and posting day after day, I said to myself she means business“ The birthing of my blog page was a direction from God and usually when God is in a thing, it’s beautiful, he gives you the strength to persevere, even when you don’t feel like it, he graces you with the ability to keep at it.
My encouragement for my loyal readers today is for us to embrace being consistent in all we do, and we can only do that by the grace of our Almighty God. God expects consistency from us because He is consistent. He would not require us to do something that He does not require Himself to do.
”The plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations" (Psalm 33:11).
God never changes. He is consistent in all his ways.
Shalom
Imani
