Delay is not denial

Waiting comes with its challenges. When you have waited too long for something, and it appears God is not answering your prayers, you tend to grow weary. At times you almost want to throw in the towel.

I feel God is good at doing this. This is the season that he grows us in strength and teaches us to endure. It is a season where God teaches us to trust in his timing and allow his perfect will to be done in our lives. It is a season where he prunes our character and prepares us for something greater.

In my wilderness season, the light bulb clicked for me to let go and trust him completely. I was able to put myself aside and allow him to work on my character, and he is still working on my character. I have stopped worrying about how long the breakthrough is taking to manifest; I am instead focusing on the fact that his promises do not expire. According to Habakkuk 2:3, the vision still awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay. Stay encouraged; our God does not lie.

Shalom,

Imani

God's promises will surely be fulfilled. We must keep our eyes on Him alone. Thanks for sharing.
