Beware of strange men and strange women.

“The lips of a strange woman drop as a honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword” (Proverbs 5:3).

The Bible often talks about strange women, but I believe there are also strange men. Every believer needs to be able to discern who a strange woman and a strange man are.

Different chapters in The book of Proverbs talk about the strange woman—the signs we ought to look for and how to avoid her. Put men in that context.

Strange men and women, in the beginning, look like the real thing, but in actuality they are counterfeits. They come with flattering words and all kinds of promises. They are deceptive and will destroy you in the end. They will take you far away from your calling. They will cause you to miss purpose and destiny. They bring destruction into your life; they cause havoc and chaos.

These are some of the characteristics of strange women we ought to beware of from biblical context, and I believe the same for strange men

Beware of Them.

1- One who flatters with her words (Proverbs 2:16)

2- One who forgets about the covenant of God that she learned in her youth (Proverbs 2:17)

3- One who leads you to death, her mission is to waste you (Proverbs 2:18-19)

4- One who is a sweet talker (Proverbs 5:3)

5- One who is on the way to Hell and wants to take you with her (Proverbs 5:5)

6- One who is not wise (Proverbs 7:4-5)

7- One who does not walk in the counsel of God (Psalm 1:1)

8- One who does not delight in the law of the LORD (Psalm 1:2-3)

9- One who does not prosper (Psalm 1:3-4)

10- One who will perish (Psalm 1:5-6)

11- One who wants to lead you astray (Proverbs 7:25)

12- One who destroys many men (Proverbs 7:26)

13- One who provides temporary happiness by blinding you to the truth (Proverbs 14:12)

Dear Heavenly Father, please give us the ability to discern who strange men and women are and be far from their dwelling. Shalom.
