Today’s blog has been inspired by listening to Sarah Jakes Robert’s and Shannon Evette. These women have inspired me so much. They have been through some high waters, but they managed to find purpose in their pain.
The truth is God doesn’t call the qualified; He qualifies those he calls.
Sarah was a teenage mother; she got pregnant at the age of 12 or 13. Sarah is a renowned pastor's daughter, T D Jakes. I Can only imagine what she went through in that season. She had a failed marriage with somebody else after her teenage pregnancy. Sarah was able to find her purpose through these challenges in her life. Sarah is the founder of women evolves. She has written several books and is doing exploits for God.
She is currently married to a man who is also in pursuit of the things of God. As she always says, he is her rock; he could look beyond all her scars and help her birth what God destined in her. He watched her evolve into the woman she is today.
I can not stress how important it is to choose well; choosing well does not mean problems will not arise, but there is a difference, and what sets that apart is the God factor. Hopefully, as time goes on and as God permits, I will blog more on this particular topic, choosing a life partner.
Sarah has always been authentic; she always talks about her scars and what she has been through. Authenticity, as she puts it, unlocks God’s ability. It especially touches God.
Shannon Yvette is another woman with a beautiful story. She says during her season of pain, her destiny and purpose were affirmed. She says one of the greatest gifts you can give people is the gift of honesty.
I listened to both women on the same day, back to back, and they both talked about authenticity. Usually, that is a confirmation for me on something. Shannon said authenticity is not adding more and more onto who you are; it is removing the things that have been placed on your life that does not belong there. I couldn’t agree with her more. She said authenticity is removing the grave clothes; it’s removing the veil and silencing the voices speaking to you and over your life. Those negative voices.
Authenticity is when you ask God, who am I? Sometimes society will silence you; they will make you shrink and conform to their precept. Do not fall for that. Be who you are, who God has called you to be, and do that unapologetically. Detours in life can be a birthing ground for important and mighty things. Society will crucify you because of certain decisions and detours you may have made; listen, God is not man. Just go to him as you are and watch him turn your life around.
I pray for you today that you find who you are and remain as authentic as possible. It will unlock God's ability in you. Shalom

God bless you Sis ❤️🙏🏽
We are who God says we are. Through life' journey things do happen but it is always good to know what to do so you keep going and not allow any man created detours to negatively affect you. God reigns! Thank God for all the up and
downs...in the midst of them we have a lasting encounter with our Creator. Hallelujah!
So inspiring 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽.
Some detours in life can be the most loneliest, driest, roads, but they always lead to the most amazing destinations.
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:
